Residual Spirits

Residual spirits are ghosts unaware they’ve died. They usually repeat their last moments of life, unaware any time has passed. They don't understand that they've died or that the living are present. They remain completely unconscious and unaware of the living.


Residual Hauntings

There are two types of residual hauntings:

1. A spirit in denial of its death.

2. A memory imprint.


Patterns of Spirit Behavior

Residual spirits or hauntings repeat a familiar pattern of behavior, often in the last moments of life. For example, a middle-aged person might walk down a staircase, slip, fall, and break their neck. This unexpected trauma can render the spirit unable or unwilling to accept their fate.
